About Marika Pollak,
Toronto Psychotherapist.
I am a psychotherapist, and have had a successful private practice
for over 25 years. I have also provided clinical training for
graduate students for many years.
My approach to psychotherapy is based on Psychodynamic
Theory, specifically on Self-Psychology.
Knowledge from the areas of Attachment
Theory, Trauma
Theory, treatment of dissociation, Cognitive
Behavioral Psychology, and feminist analysis are a core
part of my understanding. I also use tools from other approaches
along with my intuition, creativity, and listening and empathic
skills.
In addition to counselling and psychotherapy, I offer clinical consultation services to other therapists.
My private psychotherapy practice is based in Toronto.
